Cleaning Systems from Skaginn3X

A dynamic duo

Two men, two decades and hundreds of systems. Skaginn 3X’s cleaning system was conceptualised twenty years ago and is today developed, built and sold by Valdimar Sólbergsson and Tryggvi Aðalbjörnsson and their team. These are the people behind the success of Skaginn 3X’s system worldwide. Valdimar is the master builder. He has developed and produced cleaning systems for clients across the globe, some of which have been faithful customers since the first system was built. Tryggvi manages the requirements, sales and customer interaction and takes care of after sales services and upgrades.

High- and low-pressure in one cleaning system

The team has installed Skaginn 3X’s unique high- and low-pressure cleaning systems in various countries under very different conditions. From traditional fish factories and large cargo ships to high-tech dairy farms and turnkey food processing plants, the duo has seen this efficient, robust and reliable cleaning solution meet the needs of diverse clients.  What’s more, some of them have never wanted anything else.

A customer for 20 years

“It’s been really rewarding to service the same companies for decades, knowing that they are getting the quality, flexibility and hygiene solution they need for their operations,” says Tryggvi. “I have enjoyed a very good relationship with our clients over the years. We’ve grown with them and they have been able to get the systems they need as their operation changes.”

“I am very pleased with Skaginn 3X Cleaning System,” says Eggert Daði Pálsson, Chief Engineer at Icelandic fish processor Vísir. “We operate a long-line ships and a state-of-the-art processing facility in Grindavík, where we’ve used Skaginn 3X’s Cleaning Systems for 20 years. The system is flexible, very efficient and the fact that the cleaning materials and pump units are not stored in processing area is a major benefit.”

Centralised cleaning system with separate control

The Skaginn 3X Cleaning System a reliable and user-friendly system with centralized cleaning stations. The water, soap and disinfection functions are combined in a single compact system, controlled by PLC computer. Designed for operations on land and sea, the system is ingeniously set up to separate the control panel and pumps from the wet industrial environment where the cleaning takes place. The pumps are set up in a clean, dry space with cleaning materials and sanitizer connected to the system that can be set up on multiple stations for multiple users.

Comfortable to use and easy to adjust

“It’s a solid, reliable system that has been fine-tuned with our customers to deliver the best possible cleaning at a good price with sustainable environmental concerns built in”, says Valdimar. “We have always focused on good ergonomics. It needs to be easy for the cleaning crew to switch between different spraying guns and functions. We’ve made it so that you can easily rinse, lather soap, pressure clean and disinfect all with the same system.” The controllable pressure, combined versions and a sustainable use of cleaning materials have made the system a favorite for a host of different industries and applications on land and at sea.

From single stations to 1.5 km of pipes

Soon Tryggvi, Valdimar and their team will take on the largest system to date. The factory in question is in Russia, built for Collective Farm Fishery by V.I. Lenin, and will have over 1.5 km of piping for a system that will allow 20 people to use it at once. The team treats all installations with the same efficiency and care, be it single stations that take only a day to install or complicated systems that cover large factories, require a larger team and take up to 8 weeks of installation.

“We do what we have to do to get the job done“

“Covid 19 has affectedus like everyone, but we try our best to keep service levels up and maintain thequality our customers expect from us,” says Tryggvi. “Just recently I went foran installation in Norway that took me a day and a half of work but eleven daystotal due to quarantine regulations in Norway and Iceland. Like everyone atSkaginn 3X we do what we have to do to get the job done.”
