The Skaginn 3X Fluid Ice System is a complete ice solution and probably the most flexible fluid ice system available today. The system can set up to accept an external source of ice and can be delivered with or without the flake ice machine unit. When delivered with the flake ice machine it is more than a fluid ice system and can produce pure flake ice, simultaneously while producing fluid ice. The system is adjustable and can deliver any fluid ice mixture up to 50% thickness while the temperature can also be adjusted by salinity with a range of 0°C to -15°C.  

One of the unique features of this system is the ability to produce fresh water fluid ice with up to 15% density. The fresh water fluid ice has no salinity and is therefore suitable for chilling product with a low tolerance for salinity.

The system capacity can be easily increased by adding ice machines. Each system can accept up to four ice machines, which results in a capacity of approximately 200 tons of 10% fluid ice per 24 hours. The system can be delivered with or without refrigeration system.   

Benefits of Fluid Ice

Highly efficient ice systems are essential to all modern fish processing plants to secure freshness and increased shelf life of raw material. Fluid ice (often referred as slurry ice) is ideal for rapid chilling of a product and for preservation. Studies have shown that fluid ice is superior to traditional ice by inhibiting bacterial growth and extending shelf life. The thickness of the fluid ice can be adjusted based on the required storage time of the product.
