RoteX Thawing™ just got an upgrade

The new and improved RoteX Thawing™ for seafood processing supports an even better defrosting process and increased food safety will be introduced in Brussels.

Skaginn 3x is continually striving to provide innovative solutions to increase end product quality and production efficiency without sacrificing the overarching goal of improved environmental impact. The new and improved RoteX Thawing™ will be introduced at Seafood Expo Global in Brussels. RoteX Thawing™ is built on a number of recent technological developments that support an even better defrosting process and increased food safety.

Some of the new features include:

Two-stage Thawing

  • Experience has demonstrated that fish perform best in production when at a temperature of -1° C. Thawing and equalization in separate stages secures high production yield and improves shelf life on the refresh market.

CIP – Clean in Place

  • Integrated cleaning procedures
  • Automatic pipe-cleaning system ensures regular cleaning of all piping on the RoteX™ eliminating risk of bacterial cross-contamination.

Thawing and SUB-CHILLING™ in One

  • The same RoteX™ tank can be set up for thawing or SUB-CHILLING™ to better meet seasonal demand and provide optimal production possibilities for fresh and defrosted raw material, respectively.
